The Brief
Tim a successful businessman lives in Singapore and regularly visits NZ. He wanted his own space that was simple to lock and leave.
His mother, Phillipa runs a Pilates Studio and wanted to bring the business home.
The addition of a Loft Home and Garage solved both of these needs.
The Project Details
Process
An area on their family property was found that was suitable to develop.
Town Planning issues resolved ie. sorting the stormwater and wastewater problems.
Design for a bespoke Loft with self-contained Minor Dwelling upstairs and a large Pilate's Studio with extra headroom, ceiling strengthening, and timber floors downstairs.
Result
The minor Dwelling upstairs has been beautifully finished with a fully tiled bathroom and a large walk-in shower.
The kitchen has solid engineered stone benchtops and bowls, Blum hinges and soft close drawers, and an electronic down draught.
The living space has exposed trusses and beautiful timber floors.
